So anyways, our first stop was the World Trade Center and in there we visited the 9/11 Memorial. Who wouldn't forget that tragic moment that has been part of America's history. I'm amazed that they give importance and honor to those victims during the 9/11 bombing. In that 9/11 Memorial there are engraved names that surrounds the North and the South Pool.
Next stop was The Statue of Liberty. First you need to buy your tickets before you get to the ferry going to Ellis Island where the Statue of Liberty lies.It cost $18.00/each and after that you will have to go through a long line with bunch of people and a security protocol it is where you put your stuff in the scanner and they will also check or scan your body. After that, you can now board in the ferry I suggest to go on the top deck for you to enjoy the view that surrounds it.
While riding the ferry there will be an audio that they will play, it is a brief history about the Statue of Liberty also I remember that the statue was a gift from France.
Upon arriving you'll have an up close look of the Statue of Liberty. You will see a souvenir shop, comfort room if you want to freshen up because it is very hot that time siyempre ayaw nyong mahaggard sa pictures di ba? Ayun may parang food court din if you're hungry and I suggest na mas magandang kumain kayo sa labas there are tables and chair provided outside and besides you can enjoy the view and it is windy so yung init tolerable naman.
So you know, when your friends are so arte and they're like..... Kidding hahahahah.
After the Statue of Liberty we headed to the nearest train station and find the Little Italy in the Grand Street. In there we had some snacks and tried the famous Cannoli at Cafe Palermo and of course your visit in NYC wouldn't be complete without tasting the New York Cheesecake.
New York Cheesecake $7.50/slice
Cannolli $ 5.00/each
Macarooooons!!!!!!!!! $10 for 2 (Im not sure but yeah)
Beat the heat with this coffee flavored gelato for only $ 7.00
After the Little Italy experience we headed to see New York Times Square but we realized that we can still have some time to stroll so we checked out to see some shoe store and after that will go to NYC Times Square.
That ends on day 2. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. I'll get you posted on day 3, we went to the Empire State Building which is superb!! Mwaahhh..
